What is this platform?
This platform gives verified Stellenbosch businesses structured, paid advertising access inside one of the region's largest local Facebook communities. Instead of competing with spam in open groups, you post as a recognised, moderated advertiser.
What is a #STELL ID?
Your #STELL ID is a unique verified business identifier. Include it in every post and admins will recognise you immediately, fast-tracking your post for approval instead of treating it as potential spam.
How do I get a #STELL ID?
Fill in the application form on the home page, choose your plan, and complete payment via Stripe. Your #STELL ID and exclusive peak-posting time guide are issued to you after successful payment.
Is this only for Stellenbosch businesses?
Yes. This channel is exclusively for local Stellenbosch-based businesses and service providers. This keeps the group relevant and useful for the 127 000 community members — and means your ad reaches genuinely local customers.
What does verification involve?
A light review of your application to confirm your business is genuinely local to Stellenbosch. The goal is to keep the advertising environment credible and useful — which protects every advertiser's investment, including yours.
Is this a subscription? Can I cancel?
Yes — all plans are billed monthly. You can cancel at any time by sending a written request to admin@mystellenbosch.co.za.
Cancellation Terms
- Cancellation requests must be submitted via email
- Access continues until end of current billing cycle
- No refunds for partial months
- Confirmation email sent once processed
What are the posting rules?
- Stellenbosch-based businesses only
- All posts must include your unique #STELL ID
- Posts may be submitted from your business or personal profile
- Post frequency is determined by your plan (1 or 3 per week)
Does my posting allowance apply per profile or per business?
To keep #STELL ID fair, each business must use the correct tier and stay within its posting allowance.
Your allowance applies to the business as a whole, including all connected profiles, pages, staff members and representatives.
Using multiple accounts to gain extra posts or selecting a home-based tier for a customer-facing business may result in immediate revocation of advertising privileges.
If access is revoked, any unused portion of the current paid period will be refunded.
